ClassTogether vs Wooclap: where they differ

Wooclap adds questions to a university lecture and plugs into the institution's LMS. ClassTogether puts the lecture itself on the student's screen and does not count questions.

Which one suits you?

Wooclap may suit you better

If your institution needs the results inside Moodle or Canvas, you set out-of-class assignments, or a question wall and word clouds carry your session.

ClassTogether may suit you better

If you lecture from your own slides and ask questions along the way, your hall is full and you need a classroom response system without a participant cap, your course runs over several sessions, or your students work through exercises in a lab with hints at hand.

Switching from Wooclap

  • Your deck uploads as a PDF or as a Marp file; every page becomes a slide on the students' screens.
  • Multiple-choice questions go into the live quiz editor; the end-of-course survey covers ratings, choices and free text.
  • Students join once per course with the code on the board, not once per lecture.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions can I ask on Wooclap's free plan?

The vendor's plan page describes the free plan as a limited number of questions per event without giving a figure (checked 3 November 2026). ClassTogether has no question limit.

Does ClassTogether connect to Moodle or Canvas?

No. ClassTogether has no LMS integration; students join with a code and no account, which is also why it needs none. If your grades must flow into the LMS, Wooclap is the better fit.

Which one is better for a university lecture?

For teaching from your own slides in a full lecture hall with questions in between, ClassTogether. For out-of-class assignments, a question wall and LMS integration, Wooclap.
